How do you spend your health & wellness allowance?
Katherine - “I spend my health & wellness allowance on my gym membership!”
Minh - “Mostly on gym membership and massages.”
Henry - “I spend the biggest part of my allowance on a climbing gym membership. Apart from that I also buy a whole year of extreme sports insurance that covers any accidents and injuries I might get while climbing/skateboarding/snowboarding. I also buy supplements and vitamins which are crucial for me and my lifestyle.”
Klaudia - “So far I’ve spent it on a gym membership, classes and a fitness app!”
Did it encourage you to try something new for your well-being? If so, what?
Katherine - “It definitely encouraged me to try different fitness formats and figure out what works best for me and my body/health goals.”
Minh - “I did a boxing course a few years ago and I loved it!”
Henry - “Not yet! Maybe this year this will change though!”
Klaudia - “I have tried out a few new classes, and I’m also thinking about trying out some other ones too, and maybe get some gym equipment for home (I find the gym very intimidating).”
How does this benefit support your overall health, fitness, or mental well-being?
Katherine - “It helps me so much! It helps me be more consistent in the gym than I ever have before. It helps me maintain a healthy routine. Honestly couldn't be more grateful for it. It affects everything!”
Minh - “Gym helps me keep my routine and my mental health in check, and massages help the damage I do to myself at the gym…”
Henry - “I would still be doing whatever I am currently doing, but it definitely helps to have an allowance dedicated to it!”
Klaudia - “It definitely makes me prioritise going to the gym and actually sticking to it! I don’t like wasting things, so knowing I have a membership pushes me to stay consistent (I mean, it works most times….). As a result, I’ve been more motivated to stay healthy/active. It also helps that everyone at Upscope is pretty active - it keeps my motivation high!”
What does wellness mean to you, and how do you prioritize it in your daily life?
Katherine - “Wellness is a huge priority to me! I can feel a significant difference in my overall wellbeing when I don't prioritise it. I'm overall a happier, healthier person because of it.”
Minh - “It's super important to me, if you don't prioritise it, negativity leaks into every aspect of your life. Physical and mental wellbeing support each other and without it I feel miserable.”
Henry - “For me, wellness means being strong, healthy, and ready for anything. It’s a big priority in my life - that’s why I’m in the gym 4-5 times a week. No excuses for skipping workouts or overeating junk food… unless it’s a planned cheat meal!”
Klaudia - “It’s super important to me! I feel 100x better when I’ve been active and eating well - my whole mood changes. I try to stay active by going to the gym or for a run, but I also make small changes, like walking instead of taking the bus!”
